Working across all of the trusts 33 reserves, the Eastern Reserves Volunteer Task force works out of Rainton Meadows and spends much of their time focused on the 12 western reserves across East Durham – these include rare magnesium limestone grasslands, ancient semi natural woodlands, ponds and reedbeds . The Western Reserves Volunteer Task Force manages our nature reserves in West Durham and the Northern Reserves Volunteer Task Force manages our reserves in the north. We often work together on big tasks and come together for training days. Volunteering is on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and the third Sunday of every month.
